The 445 MKII is an updated version of the 445 bag, part of the esteemed 5-Series MKII range. This spacious bag is expertly designed to accommodate 2 DSLR or full-frame mirrorless cameras with small to medium lenses attached, or alternatively, 1 camera with a selection of lenses. With a total of 10 thoughtfully designed pockets, it includes a full-length front pocket that can effortlessly hold a 16” MacBook, tablet, or various accessories. It can be worn cross-body for easy access, and it includes a quick-release system for swift opening. Additionally, it is compatible with optional end pockets and can accommodate tripod straps, making it the ideal companion for any photographer on the go.

Crafted in England, it features a robust 3-layer waterproof fabric and real leather, ensuring durability and elegance.

What's Included: SP20 Shoulder Pad, 9-15 Superflex Partition, 10-18 Superflex Partition,  Superflex Flap, V-Bridge 15, 400 Superflex Base.

  • A zipped rear pocket and a luggage trolley strap can be found on the back of the bag for convenient travel.
  • A leather grab handle can also be found on top of the bag for easy, comfortable carrying when you don't wish to use the shoulder sling.
  • A full width zip pocket, spacious enough to accommodate a 16" MacBook Pro (or smaller device) in front full-length pocket. Two padded pockets can be found inside this main compartment too.
  • This bag features a 'delta' sling which splits into an inverted 'Y' shape to help with weight distribution and to keep the bag stable when carrying heavy loads.
  • Front dump pockets can be found under the front flap, for even more storage.
  • Quick Release System Front Straps can be found on the front pockets of this bag, along with tripod loops externally at the bottom of these pockets that are compatible with our 5/8 tripod straps.
  • A padded base and repositionable SuperFlex Partitions are included with this bag - you can purchase different sizes of these in addition to suit your gear.
  • In the main compartment all four internal walls are padded and have Velcro® strips running around the walls that allow the SuperFlex Partitions to attach anywhere inside.
  • Brass feet help with durability and stability, helping to prevent wear on the corners and generally extends longevity.
  • The 'TukTop' feature can be found on the 445 MKII, which allows you to tuck the sides of the main compartment that have been unzipped behind either side of the compartment. This feature helps to neatly keep the zips away from precious equipment and also keep dipping in and out for frequent access if you are working out of this bag.

CLEANING AND CARE

Billingham bags are designed to grow old gracefully! Professional photographers usually prefer a well-worn, battle-scarred Billingham to a new clean version; however, you may wish to reduce the grime level on your Billingham so here are a few tips:

  • Remove any padded inserts, dividers and the base foam.
  • DON'T put your Billingham into a washing machine; the detergent will almost certainly ruin the leather.
  • DON'T dry clean your Billingham.
  • Place the bag on a draining board and wash the bag with warm soapy water, using a nail brush on stubborn areas of dirt (don't submerge the bag in the water).
  • Wash all soap away with clear water and allow to dry naturally (airing cupboard) or at least without too much heat. Excessive heat might affect the Stormblock waterproofing or the leather. Also, DON'T put the bag in a tumble dryer or equivalent device.
  • When the bag is dry carefully apply leather dressing to the binding and leather areas. We recommend Mars oil or Nikwax. Try not to mark the canvas when you are applying the dressing.

The canvas is tough, the dyestuff resistant and Billingham Stormblock waterproofing is incredible, but hard scrubbing might lighten the colour and excessive heat or exposure to acids (such as battery acid) might spoil the Stormblock so please go carefully!

PLEASE NOTE:

  • When storing the bag, we would strongly recommend that you make sure the bag is dry first and is stored in a clean and dry place to prevent bad smells or mould developing. Storing it in a shed or garage is usually a bad idea.
  • The cleaning instructions for removable padded inserts and dividers are the same as for the bags themselves above.
  • We would especially recommend against petroleum-based shoe polishes for treating the leather as they can cause the leather to dry out over time.
